How can we check to make sure our new variable is equal to 1?

Answer: Use the list command to display all the values for the new variable temp.

list temp

This command will list all of the values for the variable temp. Using the space bar you can scroll through all of the observations to ensure they are all equal to 1. Now, as you may have noticed scrolling through the entire list of observations can be quite time consuming. Later, in Module 3 you will learn quicker and more effective ways to accomplish this same task.
